BLACK AND WHITE: AN OTHER VIEW
Black and white photography is the art of using different tones of gray, ranging from white to dark, to create compelling images. This genre has a very long history – as long as photography itself. By the time photographers started with color images in 1861, monochrome photos had been around for 35 years.
Textures and contrast are stronger in black and white. Black and white can bring out emotions more strongly than color. This is because it removes distractions from the portrait.
